Terms of Service
1. About us
NM Legends (“we”, “us”, “our”) is a UK-based independent trading card game retailer. [REGISTERED ADDRESS]. [COMPANIES HOUSE NUMBER if limited company]. VAT number: [VAT NUMBER when registered — state if prices inclusive or exclusive].
Contact: [CONTACT EMAIL]
2. How orders work
Placing an order constitutes an offer to purchase. We accept your offer when we dispatch your order and send a dispatch confirmation email. We reserve the right to cancel any order before dispatch and issue a full refund, without providing a reason.
Stock shown as “in stock” is reserved for 15 minutes when added to your cart. If checkout is not completed within that window, the item may be released for other customers.
3. Prices and payment
All prices are shown in GBP (British Pounds). [STATE: inclusive or exclusive of applicable taxes — update once VAT registration status confirmed]. Payment is processed securely by Stripe at checkout. We accept all major debit and credit cards.
4. Card condition grading
We grade all singles in-house using the following scale:
- NM (Near Mint) — card is virtually perfect with minimal to no signs of handling.
- LP (Lightly Played) — minor wear, slight scuffs or whitening on edges/corners. Suitable for competitive play with a sleeve.
- MP (Moderately Played) — noticeable wear, surface scratches, heavier edgewear. Playable sleeved.
- HP (Heavily Played) — significant wear, creases, or multiple scuffs. Playable with sleeve in casual settings.
- DMG (Damaged) — severe defects: heavy creases, tears, water damage. Not tournament legal.
Photos of every single are provided on the product page. Condition descriptions represent our honest assessment. If you believe an item was materially misdescribed, contact us within 14 days of receipt.
5. Pre-orders
Items marked as “pre-order” are not yet in stock. Estimated arrival dates are shown where available and are good-faith estimates only — they are not guaranteed.
If we are unable to fulfil a pre-order, we will issue a full refund and notify you by email. You may cancel a pre-order within 14 days of placing it by contacting us. After 14 days, pre-order cancellation is at our discretion. [SOLICITOR REVIEW REQUIRED on this clause vs. Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013.]
6. Purchase limits
We reserve the right to enforce purchase limits per customer on specific items (for example, a limit of 1 copy per customer for high-demand cards). Limits are displayed on the product page where they apply. Orders exceeding limits may be cancelled with a full refund; no further explanation is required.
7. Queue system
During high-demand periods (new set releases, restocks) we may operate a virtual waiting room to manage site access fairly. Queue position and session timing are managed by us. We do not guarantee that you will be able to complete a purchase within any given queue session. Expired sessions do not incur any charge.
8. Shipping
We ship to UK mainland addresses only. Delivery costs £3.50 per order via Royal Mail Tracked 48, or free for in-store collection.
We aim to dispatch within 1 business day of order confirmation. Risk of loss passes to you upon dispatch. We are not liable for delays by Royal Mail or other carriers once an item has been dispatched.
9. Returns and your right of withdrawal
Under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013, you have the right to cancel your order within 14 days of receipt without giving a reason.
To exercise this right, contact us at [CONTACT EMAIL]. Items must be returned in their original, undamaged condition. Sealed product must be unopened. You are responsible for the cost of return postage unless the item is faulty or not as described. We will issue a full refund within 14 days of receiving the returned item.
See our Returns & Refunds Policy for full details.
10. Faulty or misdescribed items
Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, you have the right to reject a faulty or misdescribed item within 30 days of receipt and receive a full refund. After 30 days, you are entitled to a repair or replacement in the first instance.
Contact us at [CONTACT EMAIL] with your order number and a description of the issue.
11. Banned accounts
We reserve the right to refuse orders or block future orders from customers who engage in fraud, buy-limit circumvention, abusive behaviour, or chargebacks made in bad faith. Any amounts paid for a cancelled order will be refunded.
12. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales, unless you are resident in Scotland or Northern Ireland, in which case the courts of those jurisdictions may have concurrent jurisdiction.
13. Disputes
We aim to resolve all disputes by email. If we cannot resolve a dispute, you may refer it to an alternative dispute resolution (ADR) scheme. Information about the EU Online Dispute Resolution platform (relevant for Northern Ireland consumers) is available at ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr.
